This Gas Can Spout Replacement Kit includes a flexible pour nozzle and gasket spout part replacement (#706), designed to fit Gott/Rubbermaid plastic cans. By using only the spout and stopper, it may also be compatible with other brands of plastic gas cans, provided you use your existing screw cap collar for Blitz, Midwest, and Scepter cans (note: it is not compatible with Chilton/Sears Craftsman cans). The kit features stopper nozzle caps with a lanyard to prevent cap loss, black rear air vent caps with gasket and strap, and yellow coarse thread caps as well as black fine thread caps to fit most old-style cans manufactured before 1/1/2009.

Gas Can Spout Installation

Flexible Nozzle with 180-Degree Bend

The spout is designed to be flexible, bending up to 180 degrees to allow gas or water to flow out easily, minimizing spills. This feature makes it convenient for use and storage, as you can place the nozzle inside the can during transport and storage, or you can directly install the spout on the can and close the spout cap for transportation.

Vent Cap Installation

To install the vent cap, drill a 0.3" hole at the back of your plastic can above the fill line. Insert the vent cap and gently tap it in with a rubber mallet. It is recommended to start with a smaller hole and gradually increase to the 0.3" size. Ensure you drill a straight, clean hole to avoid making it larger than necessary.
